On May 5th, students of the Japanese Language and Literature program organized a Japanese language conversation workshop, under the auspices of the “Stanca Scholz-Cionca” Center for Asian Studies. Guided by students Alexandra Gheorghiu (2nd year) and Adrian Mihai (1st year), participants were introduced to common Japanese phrases used in everyday situations, practiced speaking through guided activities, and answered a variety of questions. The workshop included scenarios such as visiting a convenience store, traveling to a Japanese festival, ordering at a coffee shop, having small talk during New Year’s Eve, or on a plane, and having conversations on the spot, in pairs, on topics such as animals, movies, food, plans, school, and more.
